Following completion of the Pilot Medical Declaration consultation on amending the Air Navigation Order 2016 and UK Regulation (EU) No 1178/2011 (the UK Aircrew Regulation), we have now published our formal Consultation Response Document (CRD).
The CRD summarises the responses we received to the consultation and the next steps.
Overview
The CAA have recently reviewed the pilot licence privileges associated with making a pilot medical declaration (PMD), particularly those associated with the flight instructor or class rating instructor certificate when exercised on the basis of having made a PMD.
As a result of this review, we are proposing some changes to the relevant provisions of the UK Air Navigation Order and UK Aircrew Regulation, as contained in this public consultation.
