What is your rationale? Please share any evidence you have about the opportunity
The airspace use diagrams clearly show that the 2500ft base of the London TMA is not appropriate in many areas. In particular, the limited clearance from terrain to Class A in the area between Gatwick and Heathrow presents an increased hazard of MAC to GA, which could be alleviated by raising the base of the TMA to 4000ft. This would also provide clearance above the Biggin ATZ, eradicating a significant bottle-neck and allowing traffic to flow safely and expeditiously to and from the south-east.

After the debacle of the Farnborough ACP 'consultation', this review is key to restoring trust in our NAA. The Lord Kirkhope Inquiry has already established that airspace design is unfit for purpose; it now falls to the CAA to reverse those past decisions that currently impose such a safety burden on lower airspace users.
