UK Regulation (EU) 2018/395 (Balloon Regulation)

The proposed wording for the UK Regulation (EU) 2018/395 (Balloon Regulation) enables the introduction of Flight Crew Licences in electronic format as an alternative to those issued in the physical format.  These amendments follow the ICAO Annex 1. 

The key proposed amendments include: 

  • An amendment of wording regarding the requirement for a licence to be signed and/or returned, to facilitate the use of electronic personnel licences as well as licences in physical format.
