Economic regulation of NATS En Route plc: Consultation on the approach to the next price control review
Overview
This consultation is on the approach to the next price control review for NATS (En Route) plc (NERL) in light of the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Why your views matter
Following our previous decisions on NERL’s price control in 2019 and subsequent reference to the Competition and Market Authority’s (CMA), the CMA’s final report established price controls for the period 2020 to 2022.
However, the CMA agreed that the CAA should consider the regulatory arrangements once there was better information about the path to recovery from the Covid-19 pandemic.
We are consulting on the key challenges for the price control, our potential policy options and the timetable and processes we will need to follow to have new price controls in place in a timely manner.
