Consultation on our proposal to regulate Ground Handling
Overview
The CAA believes that opportunities exist to improve safety and engagement with Ground Handling Service Providers (GHSP) who are currently providing a service at UK Certified and Licenced aerodromes; with opportunities to improve the cooperation between Airlines, Aerodromes and Ground Handling Service Providers (GHSP).
There are global regulatory changes being driven by ICAO Aerodrome Design & Operations Panel (ADOP) supported by the Ground Handling Task Force (GHTF) that has developed proposed Standards and Recommended Practices (SARPs) for ground handling, applicable November 2027.
